Fete & Faire 2008

Fete & Faire Tag Sale September 27th, 2008

This is not our usual tag sale! Chris Clarke and her crew will be managing a small “elegant elephant” tag sale at this year’s Fete & Faire on Saturday, September 27th.
If you have inherited lovely items that don’t coordinate with your lovely rooms, perhaps you would like to donate them to the tag sale.
If you have new-in-the-box gifts that didn’t tickle your fancy, or framed art that doesn’t match the new paint color, or collectibles that you no longer collect, perhaps you would consider donating them as well.
If your donated items are lightweight and/or fragile, please bring them to the church during office hours. If they are well-packed and protected, please leave them in the church garage which is the separate building to the right of the carriage house (Ernie’s old apartment). Please attach a description of the contents, your name and contact number.
Thank you for your generosity. The Fete & Faire is our biggest outreach fundraiser and we appreciate your support.

SILENT AUCTION
This year’s silent auction will be graciously displayed in our newly remodeled community house. Please visit the silent auction during the Faire and hopefully you will be high bidder on the objects of your desire! As always, we will have a wondrous selection of artistic items from our crafters, as well as themed baskets ready for the gifting (or to keep for yourself!), wine bottles, pet gifts, gift certificates and surprises. We may even go live with the auction since a renowned auctioneer has volunteered to do his patter.
It’s not too late to contribute your own silent auction items: antiques, paintings, any new-in-the-box items you wish to re-gift, gift baskets, service certificates to share your talents or offer a special meal, etc.* You can leave items with Denise in the parish office during office hours Tuesday-Friday 8:30am to 1:30pm or in the church library on the side table. Please attach a note to the item with your name, description and estimated value of the item, and a phone number in case of questions.
If you want to offer your services or talents for the silent auction, Jo Ann Jaacks will be happy to design a gift certificate for you. You can contact her at 567-4456 or jajaacks@snet.net.

baked goods DON’T FORGET THE CARITAS BOOTH!
We “stock the shelves” with goodies our talented parishioners can donate. Baked goods like cookies, pies, cakes, muffins, breads, etc. (And if you get it from Bantam Bread or Hannah’s Bakery, we won’t tell!) Pantry items can also include fancy vinegars, jams, jellies and herbs (garlic is a best seller!). Thank you for your support, and for taking our call when we ask for donations. Any questions, please call Katie Aziz, Rose Brooks or Shelli Perkins.
